In computing, an icon is a pictogram
or ideogram displayed on a computer
screen to help the user navigate a 
computer system. 

Icon is a small graphical 
representation of a program or file.
When we double-click an icon, the
associated file or program will 
be opened. 

On a webpage, an icon represents 
the topic or information category
of another webpage. Frequently, 
the icon is also a hypertext link
to that other page.
