PIN
The PIN (Personal Identification
Number) is an essential verification
method to authenticate an identity.
PIN is an abbreviated password from
four to six alphanumeric or numeric
code used for authenticated access
to a system.
PIN is also used as authentication at
an ATM terminal, POS and it may also
be required for various credit/debit
card transactions over the phone, and
it is an option in most mobile
devices instead of a lengthier
password or biometric method. See
