Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM)

English (en)

Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM)
Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM)
is the use of computer software
and automated machinery to control
and manage manufacturing processes.
CAM systems convert digital designs,
often created using Computer-Aided
Design (CAD) software, into machine-
readable instructions that guide
tools like CNC (Computer Numerical
Control) machines, 3D printers, and
robotic systems. This technology
enhances precision, efficiency, and
production speed while reducing
manual labour and errors in
manufacturing.
