Antidiuretic hormone (ADH)
Also known as vasopressin, a chemical 
hormone produced by the hypothalamus 
at the base of the brain. One of its 
effects is to inhibit the production 
of urine by stimulating the kidney 
tubules to reabsorb\some of the water 
otherwise destined to be passed as 
urine.
