Bending Moment

English (en)

Bending Moment
Bending moment (M) is a measure
of the internal bending force that
causes a structural element (like
a beam, column, or shaft) to
deform or fail under an external
load.

It quantifies the rotational
effect of forces acting at a
distance from a specific point,
leading to curvature or flexure
in the material.
