Buffer
A buffer contains data that is stored
for a short amount of time, typically
in the computer's memory (RAM). Buffer
is a temporary storage we use when one
component feeds data to the other, but
their speeds aren't the same.
A buffer is the middle gap between an
input and output. Buffers are set up
in every program to hold data coming
in and going out. In a video streaming
application, the program uses buffers
to store an advance supply of video
data to compensate for momentary
delays.
