Latency
Latency is a synonym for delay. In 
computer networking, latency is an 
expression of how much time it takes 
for a data packet to travel from one 
designated point to another. 

Network latency is the delay in 
network communication. It shows the 
time that data takes to transfer 
across the network. Latency is often
measured in milliseconds (ms).
