English (en)

In computing, a login/logon or
sign in is a procedure that
enables an entity to access a
secure system such as an
operating system, application,
service, website or other
resource by entering a dedicated
log in information.

As a form of computer security,
logging in (or logging on, signing
in, or signing on) is the process
by which an individual gains access
to a computer system or program by
identifying and authenticating
themselves.
