A pseudonym (also called a pen name) 
is a fictitious name assumed by an 
individual to conceal his or her 
identity. A pseudonym is an 
identifier of a subject other than 
one of the subject’s real names.

A pseudonym or alias is a fictitious 
name that a person assumes for a 
particular purpose, which differs 
from their original or true name 
(orthonym).
